Every May during Older Americans Month, the Area Agency on Aging joins with numerous service providers, sponsors and exhibitors to pay tribute to older adults in the region.

The event attracts some 1000 seniors from Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Pickens and Tuscaloosa counties. Attendees spend the day visiting with various vendors that serve the mature market, enjoying musical entertainment, playing games, participating in health screenings, and much more. Seniors also receive a boxed lunch and are eligible for numerous door prizes. Seniors from throughout the region look forward to this day designated specifically for commemorating their accomplishments as older Americans.
